See You At The Meaford Farmers’ Market- You”ll Love It…

  • Share

The Meaford Municipal Farmers’ Market is gearing up for its third season under the Rotary Pavilion at beautiful Meaford Harbour.

Once again, the Market will be held every Friday throughout the summer beginning June 5th and running until Thanksgiving.  This year Market hours will be from 3pm to 7pm….  Just in time for supper at the Market Bistro!

A family and friends event, the Market offers the best of local, high-quality produce from the breadbasket of Georgian Bay.  Whether you come for the relaxed atmosphere down at the Harbour, a power shop or to get involved in a truly inclusive event, you will feel the community spirit.

Some new initiatives for 2009 include exciting programs for adults and children alike at our Education Table.  Learning and crafts focusing on maple syrup production, honey bees and environmentally friendly subjects such as recycling are on this year’s agenda.

The Market organizers recently unveiled the exciting new website, www.meafordfarmersmarket.ca.  Visit every week for vendor updates, seasonal produce availability, news, special events, childrens’ activities, fun and learning for the whole family.

For more information or to arrange an interview, contact Market Manager Stephen Vance at 519-270-3488 or info@meafordfarmersmarket.ca.
